Jeanine obtained her bachelor's degree in higher professional law from the Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN). During this study, she did an internship at Slachtofferhulp Nederland in Beek. During this internship, she got to know the practice of joining criminal cases. After the pre-master's, she started the master's in Forensics, Criminology and Justice at Maastricht University. Her electives saw on the legal profession, the prosecution, assessment of evidence, trans forensic psychiatry and substantive criminal law. This knowledge enables her to dissect a criminal case to its core and advocate for the interests of victims and survivors in criminal cases. Jeanine is a personal injury lawyer in Diwi's team and is gaining more and more experience in assisting victims. This is right up her street. Together with Nino, she worked in the Yasmin case, in which she showed that she is a creative thinker who looks for legal arguments in international conventions and European law principles.
