Our history

After his law studies at Maastricht University, our name giver Mr. Nino Pennino, started working as a trainee lawyer in 1991 under the wing of his patron Mr. Toine Bisscheroux. In a general practice he dealt with cases in the field of labor law and tenancy law and he was also interested in criminal law. After the internship, Nino entered the partnership. When the office started specializing in 1995, Nino opted for a specialization in personal injury after i.e. a traffic incident. Standing up for the "small man" against the large and wealthy insurance companies was something that appealed to him. People were and still are the central point of his attention, which is one of his biggest motivational factors. In 2000 the office opened a branch in Heerlen and Nino returned to the city where he was born and raised. The office was then known as Bisscheroux Pennino Advocaten. In 2004, Nino, together with Belinda Zeijen and Meyke Spauwen, founded his own office. The office was initially located in the Eurode Business Center in Kerkrade, an office building that stands transversely between the Dutch and German borders. A steady growth necessitated a relocation in 2007 to a monumental farm in Kerkrade. We hold our headquarters in this beautiful historical building. In 2010 we opened a second location in Maastricht. Since 2015 we have relocated in Maastricht. In 2016 we opened a branch in Weert. As the other lawyers started to focus more and more on personal injury cases and Meyke Spauwen became office manager, Nino was given the opportunity to resume his passion for justice in a broader sense. He followed a second specialization course in "enterprise and liability" and resumed the bankruptcy practice. In addition, he still works in the personal injury practice and has written the now sold out book about personal injury practice and he regularly acts as a speaker and guest teacher. Together with Belinda Zeijen, he forms the creative office team in which developments in law are closely monitored. Our office has since become a household name in the field of personal injury cases. We are among the most experienced and knowledgeable offices in the Netherlands in this area of ​​law. And we are very proud of that.
